On February 24, 2025, in order to deepen contracts and exchange between Chinese and Qatari enterprises, promote the coordinated development of industries between the two countries, the Trade Promotion Center of the China International Chamber of Commerce and the Qatar Free Zone Qatar China Luyi Industrial Park officially signed the "Cross border Exhibition and Sales Integration Project Cooperation Agreement" recently.

According to the agreement, both parties will focus on promoting the following cooperation directions based on the principles of "equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation":

1. Strengthen cooperation in key areas. Both sides will work together to promote exchanges and cooperation in industries, commerce, technology, culture, tourism, and other fields, and encourage enterprises from both sides to further expand the import and export trade of production materials and consumer goods.

2. Strengthen connection and communication. Actively recommend local enterprises to participate in the 3rd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo; Assist and encourage members from both sides to engage in technical and professional skills exchange; Strengthen the exchange of economic and trade information, and enhance the communication of investment project information; Strengthen personnel exchanges, organize pragmatic economic and trade delegations to visit each other, hold enterprise economic and trade exchange meetings, industry themed seminars and other activities, and provide convenience and assistance to each other.

3. Expand two-way trade and investment. Both sides actively cooperate to further improve the investment and business environment, and encourage Chinese and Qatari enterprises to expand trade exchanges; Provide convenience and support to enterprises that have already invested or have planned investment and trade intentions, help coordinate and solve difficulties, and safeguard and protect the legitimate rights and interests of both parties' enterprises. 

4. Encourage both parties to conduct joint research. Both sides closely integrate the economic development environment of the international market, encourage and support institutions and enterprises in both regions to conduct joint research on characteristic industries, jointly promote the both landing and development of advantageous industries, and form a pattern of industrial complementarity and competitive advantages

This cooperation is an important practice of implementing the "the Belt and Road" initiative, which will provide an efficient channel for Chinese enterprises to explore the Middle East market, and also create opportunities for Qatar's high-quality resources to connect with China's big market.
