On March 31, 2025, in response to the trend of the collective rise of countries in the global South and to promote the international communication capacity building of developing countries in politics, economy, culture and other fields, Xinhua News Agency Doha Branch and Luyi Industrial Development Co., Ltd. (QFZ) jointly signed the "Letter of Intent for the Global South Media Think Tank Cooperation Communication Partnership Program". Both sides will jointly establish the "Global Southern Media News Network" to help countries in the global South break down information barriers, advocate for an equal and orderly world multipolarity, and promote inclusive economic globalization.   

According to the agreement, both parties will focus on promoting the following cooperation:

1. Jointly build the "Global South Media News Network"

Integrate important information, South South cooperation dynamics, and authoritative comments from countries in the global South, using landmark projects such as the China Qatar Luyi Industrial Park as examples to showcase the development achievements and cooperation potential of developing countries to the international community.   

2. Jointly release research results from think tanks

Based on the platform, publish research reports and case studies in the fields of politics, economy, society, and environment, providing a "southern solution" for global governance.   

3. Deepen the institutionalized cooperation of the forum

Under the framework of the Global South Media Think Tank High end Forum, regular thematic seminars and training are held to promote resource exchange and capacity building among partner institutions.   

Yao Xubo, CEO of Qatar China Luyi Industrial Park, stated that this cooperation will systematically enhance the information dissemination efficiency of southern countries, allowing the world to hear more diverse voices. ”  

Look into the future

The cooperation will be launched on March 31, 2025, covering areas such as industrial innovation and cultural exchange among countries in the global South. Both parties will also explore extended cooperation in channel agency, specialized consulting, and continue to expand the international influence of global southern issues.
